ADR and Medication Alerts

Activate Medication and ADR Alerts in ICANotes:

 

ICANotes can alert prescribers and nurses entering medication orders if a drug has been added to the medication field that your patient has an identified adverse drug reaction (ADR) to. Select medications will produce medication guidelines to be displayed when the note is compiled. These safety alerts may be activated by the security administrator within the Security Center.

 

 

1. Click the  button at the bottom of the Settings & Directories screen. In the Security Center, select  in the top-right.

 

 

 

 

2. Under the CDS tab, select "Medication" and "ADR", select prescriber types and don't forget to select nurses if your nurses enter verbal medication orders.

 

 

 


3. Settings/Directories, Options Tab: individual users can choose to see alerts at the chart level.
