Checking Insurance Eligibility from the Calendar (New Calendar)

Overview
ICANotes+ allows the billers to check clients insurance eilgibility from the calendar. Insurance eligibility can be checked from the various locations in the software, however, this knoweledge base articles focuses only checking it from the calendar.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure that the Insurance Eligibility feature is enabled for your practice. To enable this feature, contact our Customer Support team.
Check Insurace Eligiblity for a Single Client
To check insurance eligibility for an single client:
Navigate to the Calendar.
Click the client’s scheduled appointment. When the appointment slide-out opens, review the client’s insurance information.
Select one or more insurance plans.
Click Check Eligibility.
Check Insurace Eligiblity for a Multiple Clients
To check insurance eligibility for multiple clients at once:
Navigate to the Calendar.
Click Check Eligibility in the top-right corner.
The Check Eligibility screen appears as shown below:
Filter Clients
You can filter the client list using the following criteria:
Appointment Start Date
Appointment End Date
Clinician
Eligibility Status
Appointment Start/End Date: You can select an appointment range of up to 7 days.
After selecting the desired filters, click Search.
A list of clients matching the criteria appears.
Select one or more clients for whom you want to check insurance eligibility.
Click Check Eligibility.

Who can check insurance eligibility from the calendar?
Users with the required permissions can check insurance eligibility from the calendar.
Do I need to enable this feature before using it?
Yes. The Insurance Eligibility feature must be enabled for your practice by Customer Support.
Can I check eligibility for multiple clients at once?
Yes. Use Check Eligibility from the top-right corner of the Calendar to check multiple clients.
How far in advance can I filter appointments for eligibility checks?
You can select an appointment date range of up to 7 days.
Can I check eligibility for more than one insurance plan for a client?
Yes. You can select one or more insurance plans before running the eligibility check.
