Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan

Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan

Overview

This Knowledge Base article provides guidance on creating a Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan for clients. The plan includes a list of dimensions, each allowing you to add a corresponding problem. Based on the selected dimension, relevant problems will appear in the dropdown menu. After selecting a problem, you can document its details following the standard treatment plan format. Additionally, you can include a risk rating from the ASAM module that has already been recorded.

Step 1: Add Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan

Navigate to client's chart > select the Treatment Plan tab > click Add New Treatment Plan link.

On the Add Treatment Plan screen, select the Chemical Dependency option.

Step 2: Locate Dimension List

Once you select the chemical dependency treatment plan option, click the Add Problem link.

On the Manage Problem List screen, click Add New. You'll see a list of dimensions for selection.

Based on the dimenstion you select, the relevant problems will appear in the adjacent dropdown. You can select the desired problem from the list.

Step 3: Record Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan Details

After selecting the problems, you can record the treatment plan details just as you would in the general treatment plan. The entered details will be displayed in the right pane.

You can continue adding treatment plan details under the other tabs in a similar manner.

Step 4: Insert Risk Rating

In the Problem-Manifestation Details tab, you'll find the Insert Risk Rating button at the top. This option lets you add the risk rating previously recorded for the client in the ASAM module. If preferred, you can also manually enter the risk rating directly within the Chemical Dependency Treatment Plan.

Insert Risk Rating from the ASAM Module

If a risk rating has already been recorded for the selected dimension in the ASAM module, you'll see a notification when you hover over the info icon, as shown below. The tooltip will display the message: "Previously evaluated risk rating available."

To insert the rating, simply click on the Current Risk Rating heading—the system will automatically populate the right pane with the recorded risk rating.

Insert Risk Rating Manually

If no risk rating has been recorded for the selected dimension in the ASAM module, a notification will appear when you hover over the info icon, as shown below. The tooltip will read: "No ASAM is available for this patient."

In this case, you can manually select the appropriate risk rating from the left pane, and it will be displayed in the right pane.
