ICANotes Updates for March 7, 2022

Changes made to ICANotes in our March 7, 2022 release are described below. Please call ICANotes Support at 443-569-8778 if you have any questions or visit our HIPAA-compliant Support Portal.

Practice Management Updates

Portal Intake

A new button has been added to the Chart Face labeled "Check for Patient Intake Form." Clicking this button will check for an intake form submitted by the patient on the portal. The button will be hidden if the patient's intake form was already found (in which case the red text "Patient has submitted an intake form" will display instead). This button will be useful in situations where the patient has indicated they have submitted their online intake, but the "Patient has submitted an intake form" notification does not display on the chart. Clicking the new "Check for Patient Intake Form" button will perform an additional check to pull in the submitted information. If no intake has been submitted, a resulting notification message will state so.

Clinical Updates

PRP Note

The Case Manager/Social Worker Note has been updated to include a new PRP button and clinical content. The PRP Note button is located on the left side of the screen and opens the related "shrub" with clinical content.

Professional Claims: Assignment of Benefits

The Provider Accept Assignment Code can now be modified in professional claims by using the Assignment of Benefits field on the Benefits tab. This field, which was used solely for institutional claims before, will now populate in the eighth position of the Claim Information Loop 2300 (CLM08) in the ANSI 837P.

Professional Claims: Delayed Reason Codes

A feature for submitting Delayed Reason Codes was added for professional claims. In the claims option window, a new field for inserting the value has been included, which will populate in position 20 of Loop 2300 Claim Information (CLM20).

Forms/Assessments

These forms have been added to the Forms/Assessments area which is accessed from the Chart Face. The Good Faith Estimate forms can be used for compliance with the No Surprises Act which went into effect on January 1. Join us for a live Q&A session and demonstration of the Good Faith Estimate forms on Thursday, March 10 at Noon Eastern.
