Resending a Client Portal Invitation

Overview

Client Portal invitation links expire 7 days after they are sent if the client does not complete registration.

This article explains how to resend an expired Client Portal invitation and what clients can expect during the registration process.

Identify an Expired Invitation

If a client does not register within 7 days, the invitation status displays as Expired in the Chart Owner section.

Select the three-dot menu to view available options:

  • Change Ownership
  • Resend Invite
  • Revoke Access







Resend the Invitation

  1. Open the client’s chart.
  2. Select the Communications tab.
  3. Expand the Client Portal section.
  4. Under Chart Owner, select Resend Invite.




Confirm the Resend

After selecting Resend Invite, a confirmation message appears.

  1. Review the confirmation prompt.
  2. Select Confirm to resend the invitation.


Once confirmed, the client receives an automated email containing a new registration link.

NotesThe new invitation link expires after 7 days.



Client Registration Process

To complete registration, the client must select the invitation link and enter:

  • Last name
  • Date of birth
  • Password

Info
The last name and date of birth entered during registration must match the information recorded in the client’s chart in ICANotes+.



After registration is completed successfully, a confirmation message appears.



Accessing the Client Portal

After registration, clients can sign in using their credentials.



After signing in, clients can:

  • View practice documents
  • Request appointments
  • Send messages to the practice
  • View account balances
  • Complete assigned tasks


FAQs

How long is a Client Portal invitation valid?
Client Portal invitation links remain active for 7 days from the time they are sent.

Can an expired invitation be reused?
No. Once expired, a new invitation must be sent.

Why is the client unable to complete registration?
Verify that the client is entering the exact last name and date of birth recorded in ICANotes+.
