Record Cardholder Presence When Adding Credit Card Information

To meet Mastercard's compliance requirements, ICANotes+ will now prompt you with a question whenever you add a new credit card: "Is the cardholder present?" You must answer Yes or No before continuing. This question will also appear for saved cards that have not yet been used for transactions. This procedure helps us ensure secure credit card transactions.

 

This means you should select Yes if the cardholder was present when you added the credit card or made the initial transaction. Select No if the cardholder was not physically present and probably provided the details over the phone.

Similarly, when you add a payment through the calendar or account ledger using a saved credit card that has never been used before, the system will prompt you with the question: "Is the cardholder present?" You must answer Yes or No before proceeding.
