Group Rule: Require Location in Calendar Events

Security Administrators can enable a group rule which will, when enabled, require a Location to be selected within the event details before the appointment can be saved (new or existing). If the appointment is saved before the Location field is set, the field itself will remain highlighted in red until a Location is set.

To enable this rule, navigate to the Group Rules section of the Security Center, and into the Mandates tab specifically:

From the Chart Room click to go to Settings / Settings and Directories:

Classic Chart Room:

New Chart Room:

Click Security Center and enter your password when prompted:

Click Group Rules

In the Mandates tab you will find the group rule:

The rule can also be enabled upon request by emailing ticket@icanotes.com or calling ICANotes Support at (443) 569-8778. Once enabled you will want to Log Off and back in to see your changes take effect.

In the (new) Calendar, if an existing or new appointment is saved without a Location set, the field will display in red to alert you:

Click to make a selection from the dropdown before saving.
