ICANotes Updates for April 2021   Changes made to ICANotes in our April 2021 release are described below. Practice Management Updates     New Patient Account Option: ‘Display this patient’s Note when a user loads their account.’  A new option has been added to Patient Accounts to allow the Notes to be the first area to populate. To use this function, the box titled Display this patient’s Billing Notes when a user loads their account must be checked, and there must be content in the Billing Notes section.     New ANSI option: Exclude Payer Address in Payer Name Loop A new ANSI option has been added to the Group Level Settings & Directories for Insurance Payers. This option omits the need for a Payer Address to be entered when submitting electronic claims.      Patient Accounts Reports: Additional explanation of “as of” date. The “As of” filter option on the Patient Account reports filters results based on the party responsible for the current balance of a service relative to the date a report is generated. This information will populate when a date is entered into the “As of” field.     Settings & Directories: Government Claims This section has been changed from ‘For Gov’t Claims’ to ‘Government Claims’. Tooltips have been added to the Accept Assignment and Rendering Status areas to provide clarity. Hover over either section to populate the corresponding tooltip.     Change to Unread Messages display in the Chart Room  In an effort to improve Chart Room navigation performance, the number of unread messages will no longer be displayed in the Chart Room. Instead, there will be a message on the drawer indicating that there are unread internal or patient messages. The Messaging Center icon on the drawer will be yellow if there are any unread messages.    Clinical Updates   COVID Testing added to Test Results Four new options have been added to the Test Results to be manually entered in notes. The options are: Molecular test RNA Molecular test PCR Antigen Test (Rapid) Antibody Test     Update to Private Notes Private Notes have been updated to include additional information on the use of these notes as well as adding the provider’s name and the date/time of the note entry. The best workflow to use this feature would be to click the button ‘Enter New Note Date and Divider’ then enter the content of your Private Note. The highlighted portion indicates where your note content will begin.     New Group Rule: New Therapist CE HPI Work Area A new option to add an HPI option to the Complete Evaluation for non-prescriber and non-nurse disciplines will populate once this Group Rule is enabled. There will be a one time splash screen with information on how this new area of the Complete Evaluation functions. This rule should not be enabled for your group if you have specific mandates in place. Please reach out to our Support Team at ticket@icanotes.com to have this Group Rule enabled for your practice.     Phrasing Change to Therapist Note To be in compliance with utilization review there has been a slight terminology change in the Therapist note. Time Spent face to face will now be worded as follows in the compiled note: ‘Time spent face to face counseling patient and/or family: XX-XX min’. All other notes will contain the text: ‘Time spent face to face with patient and/or family and coordination of care: XX-XX min’.     Clinical Order Sheet Access From Primary Care Note The Clinical Order Sheet is now available to be accessed from within the Primary Care Note.   Join Our User Community ICANotes has a private User Community on Facebook where users can interact with each other & some members of the ICANotes team.
