Calendly Patient Online Scheduling

We are pleased to now offer an integration with Calendly for patient online-scheduling. This new functionality allows providers providers to set custom appointment types and hours for patient self-scheduling that feeds directly back into the ICANotes Calendar. For more information, please refer to the knowledge base article.

Set Authorizations by Service Code (Multiple)

The group rule allowing Managed Care Authorization numbers to be linked to a service code for automatic selection in a note has been updated to allow the selection of multiple service codes for each authorization number. For more details on this updated group rule, refer to this knowledge base article.

Relative Value Units Report

ICANotes now offers a workflow for setting Relative Value Units for service codes and tracking those units used in the Relative Value Units Report. This report is visible to users with RVU Admin access enabled from the Security Center. For more details about this new workflow and report, please refer to the knowledge base article.

ICD-10 Diagnosis Codes

New and revised ICD-10 diagnosis codes for 2022 have been added, as well as a new Status option for diagnosis codes: Maintenance Therapy, in Remission.

Link to Treatment Plan

We have updated the functionality of the Link to Treatment Plan workflow from a progress note to now allow for including Strengths/Barriers along with short and long-term goals for specified problems.

Encounter Form

The Encounter Form has been updated to include additional fields for capturing Start/End Times, Units and Service Codes. These fields are editable for free-texting entries before capturing signatures. The Encounter Form is accessible from the patient's Chart Face, and is enabled by Group Rule (at the request of Security Administrators).

MH vs. PC Diagnosis

We have added a new group rule, "Separate Mental Health vs Primary Care Dx," which will allow for diagnosis codes to be assigned as Mental Health (MH), Primary Care (PC), or Both. When enabled, an automatic backfill will occur based on the diagnosis code. If the ICD-10 code begins with F (excluding F10-F19), the code will be assigned as "MH." Substance Abuse diagnosis codes F10-F19 will be classified as "Both." Any non-F diagnosis code will be assigned as "PC." For billing purposes, security administrators can set the Provider Type for individuals to Mental Health or Primary Care. When a note is prepped for electronic or paper billing with this rule enabled, and based on the note owner's Provider Type, the diagnosis code(s) will be excluded based on Provider Type. If the note owner's Provider Type is Mental Health, then all PC (Primary Care) diagnoses will be excluded. If the note owner's Provider Type is Primary Care, then all MH (Mental Health) diagnoses will be excluded. For details on this workflow, please refer to the knowledge base article.
