ICANotes Updates for December 31, 2020   Changes made to ICANotes in our December 31, 2020 release are described below. Please call ICANotes Support at 443-569-8778 if you have any questions or visit our HIPAA-compliant Support Portal.   Clinical Updates   2021 E&M Code for Me Updates ICANotes has released two changes to the Complete Assessment and Prescriber Progress Notes for 2021. Notes must meet the following criteria for the changes to be observed: The note must be either a Complete Assessment or a Prescriber Progress Note The date of service must be January 1, 2021 or later The site type for the note's service location must be set to Office / Outpatient If your note does not meet all of the criteria above, you will see the previous Code for Me logic. If your note meets all of the criteria above, you will notice that the Medical Decision Making / Complexity section of these notes has been replaced by an MDM button.      Additionally, you will find a new Total Minutes Spent field on the Finish Initial and PN Part 2 tabs of these notes.     The MDM and Total Minutes Spent fields will drive the new Coding Matrix.     For more information on these changes, please join us for one of our two New E&M Coding for Clinicians webinars that we will be hosting in January: January 7, 2021, 12p EDT January 14, 2021, 12pm EDT   January Webinars Our January webinar schedule is now available.
