[Rcopia4] How to Remove the Automatic Stop Date in DrFirst

If you've noticed that medications are mysteriously disappearing from the active medication list in either ICANotes or in DrFirst, you may want to check your practice settings in DrFirst to see if medications are set to auto-stop based on their duration.

Follow these steps to adjust the setting in DrFirst.  Please note, you must have an administrator role in DrFirst for your group to make these changes. Additionally, if you have multiple practice locations in use please evaluate the settings for each location.

Go to DrFirst.

From the Chart Room:

From Demographics:

From a Prescriber work area (Progress Note or Complete Assessment):

Once in DrFirst, click the menu icon at the far left

And choose “Settings” from the dropdown menu

Click the option for “Preferences”

From the left-hand menu, click into the Prescription option, then locate the rule within the listing on the right:

Click to enable (checked)/disable (unchecked) the checkbox: Medication stop auto-set based on prescription duration

Scroll all the way down to the bottom and click the Save button to save the changes.

Click the button to return to ICANotes.
