Sneak Peek: v9.12 Release Notes

Sneak Peek: v9.12 Release Notes

Preview of What's Coming

Overview

Version 9.12 introduces enhancements to reporting and billing workflows. This release adds new insurance-related filters in the Billing Worklist, expands filtering and data visibility in the Clinical and Demographics Report, introduces role-based permissions for summary reports, and improves the Appointments Report export format with additional structured fields.

Billing Worklist: Added Billing and Insurance Filters

The Billing Worklist now includes a new eBilling / Insurance Filters section to help you narrow down encounters based on insurance and billing criteria. This section is collapsed by default. Expand it to apply filters.

Use the following filters:

  • Payer – Filter encounters by insurance payer. Start typing the payer name and select it from the list.
  • Insurance Type – Filter encounters by insurance type. You can select one or more options.
  • Submission Status – Filter encounters by claim status (Not Submitted, Processing, Error, Success).
  • Payer Ranking – Filter encounters by payer order (for example, Primary or Secondary).
  • Insurance Payments – Filter encounters by payment status (Insurance Paid, Insurance Not Paid, Insurance Balance Due, No Insurance Balance).
  • Has Secondary Insurance – Show only encounters that include secondary insurance.
  • Match All Selected Insurance Filters – Return results that match all selected filters instead of any single filter.

These filters help you quickly identify relevant encounters and reduce manual effort when working with insurance-related data.

Additionally, the Filters section is now expandable and collapsible, allowing you to optimize screen space and view more results as needed.

Clinical and Demographics Report: Added Filters and Columns

The Clinical and Demographics Report now includes additional filters and columns to support insurance eligibility verification workflows. These updates help refine report results and provide more complete insurance information for each client.

New filters

The following filters are now available:

  • Primary Insurance – Filter clients by primary insurance payer.
  • Secondary Insurance – Filter clients by secondary insurance payer.
  • Gender – Filter clients by gender. Select a value from the list.

Filters appear in this order: Client, Primary Insurance, Secondary Insurance, and Gender.

New columns

The following columns have been added to the report:

  • Primary Insurance Member ID – Displays the member ID for the client’s primary insurance.
  • Secondary Insurance Member ID – Displays the member ID for the client’s secondary insurance.
  • Tertiary Insurance – Displays the client’s tertiary insurance details.
  • Tertiary Insurance Member ID – Displays the member ID for the tertiary insurance.
  • Tertiary Insurance Copay – Displays the copay amount for the tertiary insurance.
  • Other Insurance Member ID – Displays the member ID for additional insurance on file.

These columns are available in PDF, CSV, and Excel exports.

  • Select Edit for the desired role.
  • On the Update Role screen, expand Reports, then select:
    • Access Deposit Summary Report
