Finding client records quickly is essential for maintaining an efficient workflow. ICANotes+ provides multiple ways to search for existing clients using various identifiers. This guide will show you how to locate clients using the search bar and the Chart Room.
You can locate a client's chart using any of the following information:
The search bar at the top of the interface is the quickest way to find a client from almost any screen.
Enter Criteria: Type any of the above search parameters (for example, First Name, Last Name, MRN, etc.) into the search bar at the top of the application.
Select Client: As you type, matching results will appear in a dropdown list.
Access Chart: Click on the correct client's name from the results to be taken directly to their Chart Face.
The Chart Room allows for more specific searches and is the primary hub for managing client records.
Navigate to Chart Room: In the left sidebar, select Chart Room.
Input Information: Use the search fields provided. You can search by any of the above search parameters (for example, First Name, Last Name, MRN, etc.)
Execute Search: Click the Magnifier Icon (Search button).
Open Chart: If a single match is found, the chart will open automatically. If multiple matches exist, select the correct client from the list.
If you are already in a chart and need to verify these identifiers for future searches, they are located on the Chart Face:
MRN: Located at the top of the Chart Face (this is a unique, system-assigned number that cannot be changed).
Chart ID: Often used as an internal tracking number.
Demographics: Select the Demographics tab to update the details, if needed.
