ICANotes and Kno2 Standalone (No Integration)

If you want to fax using Kno2 but you do not want to integrate with ICANotes, this is possible.

1. Download the content you want to fax from the ICANotes Upload Site.

2. Select the patient and find the form(s) you want to download. Click the download  button by the file.

3. In the top right, click the Download button.

4. When the Save As: window pops up, name the file and click Save.

5. You will see that the document has been saved to the file you designated by the popup in the bottom left of your browser.

6. Go to Kno2 and upload the attachment(s) to send to Kno2. Click on Release on the left side and then click New Release button on the top right.

7. Fill out the required fields.

 A. Referral - include Type, From, and To fields.

 B. Patient Details - First Name, Last Name, Date of Birth, and Gender fields.

 C. Drag (or find) the document under Attachments.

8. After the document has loaded, choose the Document Type.

9. Click the  button in the upper right corner.

10. You will receive a window to input comments if desired. Once finished, click the  button.

11. You will see the new fax sent under Released.

12. If you receive any faxes from Kno2, these will need to be downloaded from Kno2. Go to  on the left side.

13. Find your received fax. For this demonstration, I'm using a different patient. Double click on the row.

14. The file will open showing the patient and attachment. Click on the download  button to select how to download. For this demonstration, I'm using Export with Kno2 Desktop.

15. A popup window will appear. Choose whether you want to Mark as Processed. Click Download. Since I used my Kno2 Desktop and I used the default setting of download to Documents > Kno2Downloads, the file will be in that location.

16. Add to ICANotes from the Upload Site. Pull up the patient on the left side.

17. Go to the right side and input the category from the dropdown menu and the other optional fields. Then click the Choose File button.

18. Find the file that you want to upload and click Open. You can also drag and drop if you prefer.

19. Once the document has loaded, it will show in the field. Click the Upload button.

20. Once it has been uploaded, you will find under the Category you chose. Remember, for this demonstration, I'm uploading a different patient (David Vale) to Alice Doe's chart.

When you go to the ICANotes Documents tab, you will see the uploaded document there.
