KNO2 SETUP – API SETTINGS
1. Log into your Kno2 account.
2. Select the Setting gear in the upper right hand corner.
3. Select Organization
4. Scroll all the way down on the Organization tab to the section that says API settings.
a. Select the button.
b. A confirmation window will appear.
i. Select the Create Client Credentials button for to continue.
c. Store your key and secret in a secure location
i. Select to copy to the clipboard.
ii. Open a text program (like Word, Notepad, Wordpad, TextEdit) and paste the credentials (these will be needed later).
d. Select the button so that
will be displayed, indicating that the service account is now enabled.
e. Enter the IP addresses (these are the public IP addresses of the server contacting Kno2).
i. Enter all four of the following:

54.227.62.66
3.219.19.247
38.105.243.10
64.20.61.27
ii. Select .
KNO2 SETUP - LICENSING
License and Application ID for Access to API
1. Select the Settings Gear (similar to above).
2. Select Add-Ons.
3. Select the tab.
4. Select the button.
a. Paste or data enter the previously provided license key from ICANotes into the text box.
5. Select button.
6. Select the tab.
7. Highlight and copy the App ID listed.
a. On the same text program that was used above, paste the App ID (this will be needed later).
Connect ICANotes to Kno2
Integration Configuration
1. Log into ICANotes and navigate to the Chart Room.
2. From the Chart Face, click the and choose
tab.
3. Select the tab.
4. Select the button and insert the information recorded above (Key, Secret, AppID).
5. It is very important to copy the key, secret and AppID from the text program (from above) and paste into the fields in ICANotes, as this will ensure that every value is correct. Be sure that there are no spaces at the beginning or end of the entered text.
a. Client ID (Key field)
b. Secret
c. App ID
6. Click the button.
Navigate to the Security Center and enable a user for Kno2 by clicking Admissions Admin.
NOTE: It is good to have more than one user with this access. A user with this access is the only one that can trigger the API call from Kno2. Once the user (that has Admissions Admin) clicks on Chart Room, all users will be able to see the documents from Kno2.
Direct Messaging and Fax Setup in ICANotes
1. As a Security Administrator and from the Chart Room, click the icon.
2. Click the button and enter your password.
3. Find the user that will be using Kno2 and click the button in that row.
4. Enter the user’s Direct Address email.
5. Click the button to save the Direct Address.
Set Up Recipients
1. As a Security Administrator and from the Chart Room, click the Icon.
2. Navigate to the tab.
3. Navigate to the tab.
4. Create a new user or edit an existing one. Add the Direct Address and/or Fax (if you have fax enabled for Kno2).
5. Once the Direct Address has been entered, click the button.
If the address is correct, you will receive this message:
If there is a problem with the address, you will receive this error:
You can always manually mark an address by toggling the checkmark field. You will receive this error:
6. Click the button to save the verified Direct Address.
What is a Direct Address?
Kno2 addresses are like email addresses and also serve as Direct addresses, but are used only in healthcare, and are used for sending and receiving informaiton to and from your organization to external organizations. Unlike a typical email address, a Kno2 address can be assigned at different levels.
