What does PENDING status mean?

What does Pending Status mean? 

 

Pending Status is an indication that the patient is neither active nor inactive, and is typically used for patients whose charts have been begun, but not finished. A chart may also be placed into a 'Pending' status for patients who may not meet admission criteria, for example, or a patient who is on a waitlist to begin treatment.

 

To access a Pending chart, you would select  from the Chart Room 

 

 

 

Clicking there will bring you to this screen, which allows you to search your patients; please note that until you click  the boxes for Pending and Inactive patients will be empty.

 

  

 

You can switch a patient's chart from Change Patient Status by going to the chart face -

 

 

 

And selecting a different option.
