Practice Management Updates

 
 
RVU Report
The following improvements have been made to the RVU (Relative Value Units) Report: exporting the report will now include the Provider Name in the first column (for improved ease of use with pivot tables), and adjustments have been made to the Totals column (upon export) so that the columns are properly aligned. For more information on the RVU Report, please refer to the knowledge base
 
 
Patient Submitted History from Portal
In this release, improvements were made to the process for incorporating patient-submitted history information from the Premium Patient Portal into ICANotes, including the ability to insert the submitted information into a Pre-Admission Assessment or a Complete Evaluation. A new button above the Assessments button on the chart face will prompt to "Check for Patient Intake Form" by default. The button will change colors depending on whether an intake form has been submitted by the patient. 
  • Check for Patient Intake Form (grey) = no intake has been submitted (this is the default state)
  • Use New Patient Intake Form (yellow) = the patient has submitted a new intake form
  • Reuse Patient Intake Form (green) = the patient has previously submitted a new intake form 
When a new or existing intake form has been submitted by the patient, clicking the button will prompt you with the choice to include the submitted intake form in a Pre-Admission Assessment or a Complete Evaluation. For more details on this updated feature, please refer to the knowledge base

Calendar Report: No Follow-up Appointments 
We have added the ability to filter the "Patients with No Future Appointments" report by a date range. This will allow ICANotes users to find patients who do not have future appointments scheduled within a defined date range – such as three months in the future. If the patient has an appointment in six months but not less than three, they would be included in the report. For an overview of this and other calendar reports. Prevent MCA Use Before Issue Date
Improvements have been made to Managed Care Authorizations. When an authorization is selected in a note where the issue date is later than the encounter date or date of service, an error message will display the message that "The date issued cannot be later than the encounter date."

EMDR "Shrub" Content
ICANotes is pleased to introduce EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) related content into its already expansive "shrub" content library. This new clinical content can be found in the "new" Therapy Progress Note (as opposed to the "classic" note style). For more information, please refer to the knowledge base.

Autism Spectrum "Shrub" Content Enhancement
Content within the Autistic Spectrum "shrub" has been updated to reflect changes correlating to Impaired Social, Impaired Communication, and Impaired Behavior. The updated clinical content can be accessed via the Prescriber and Therapist Progress Notes.

Treatment Plan: Gender Dysphoria
We have made clinical content updates to the "shrub" content for Gender Dysphoria in the treatment plan. This new content can be found when Gender Dysphoria is selected as a Problem/Need in the treatment plan. 
 
 
 

Did You Know?

Content built into ICANotes is often referred to as "shrub" content because of the unique branching feature within the note. Clicking your way through the content will often open up additional content in the second and third columns, like the branches of a shrub.
