Kno2 - Direct Messaging and Fax

Set Up User:

 

1.  As a Security Administrator and from the Chart Room, click the  Icon.

 

 

 

2.  Click the  button and enter your password to enter.

 

3.  Find the user that will be using Kno2, and click the  button in the row.

 


4.  Enter the user’s direct address email.

 

5.  Click the  button to save the direct address.


Set Up Recipients:

 

1.  As a Security Administrator and from the Chart Room, click the  icon. 

 

 

 

2.  Go to the  tab.

 

 

 

3.  Go to the  tab.


4.  Create a new user or edit an existing one. Add the Direct Address and/or Fax (if you have fax enabled for Kno2).

 

 

5.  Once the Direct Address has been input, click the  button.


If the address is correct, you will receive this message:

 

 

If there is a problem with the address, you will receive this error:

 

 

You can always manually mark an address by toggling the checkmark field. You will receive this error:

 

6.  Click the  button to save the verified Direct Address.

How to Use:

 

1.  From the Chart Face, click the  tab.

 

 

 

2.  To send a file, click the  button by the file you want to send. Or use the Select checkboxes to select multiple documents at once.

 




3.  The Compose Message window will populate.

 

 

4.  Enter the Direct Address (or Fax # if you are enabled for fax in Kno2).

 

 

5.  Click whether Direct Message or Fax for From and To. (Default is Direct Message.)

 

 

6.  Click the  button.


7.  If the document was sent successfully, you will be returned to the Documents window.

 

 

 

8.  If there was an error, you will receive this error:

 

 

What is a Direct Address?

Kno2 addresses are like email addresses and also serve as Direct addresses, but are used only in healthcare, and are used for sending and receiving information to and from your organization to external organizations. Unlike a typical email address, a Kno2 address can be assigned at different levels.
